HOME SPA KIT FOR UNDER $50 ~ JUST DO IT!

OK, so we don’t all have time and money to go to the spa, between family and career it’s hard to get in an hour bath or shower power hour. It IS important though that we find time to breathe, and create some calm space to think and reflect on our lives – it’s also pretty nice to indulge in some pampering, and you don’t have to break the bank or go completely out of your way to make it happen! There are things already in your home and garden you can turn into beauty saviors and with the help of a few inexpensive purchases can transform your bathroom into your very own spa retreat.

What you will need;

RELAXATION INDUCING AND MOOD SETTING

Candles $2.99

Candles can be pricey – but they don’t have to be. A budget busting favorite of mine is the often under praised glade candle. This along side some simple votive or nightlight candles does the ambiance trick!

Chose a lavender scented candle like this one at Target for ultimate relaxation: http://www.target.com/s?searchTerm=glade+scented+candle

Epsom Salt with lavender/garden herbs $2.83 (PLUS INGREDIENTS FROM YOUR GARDEN)

You do not need to spend money buying artisan bath salts – it’s so easy to make your own and much much nicer as everything in your tub is fresh as can be!

Buy your Epsom salt here: http://www.amazon.com/Queen-Helene-Original-Batherapy

And then step out into your garden (or take a neighborhood stroll to a kind neighbors herb patch!) and snip some fresh herbs. I’ve used Lavender, Basil, Rosemary and Thyme but the options here are really endless so you can get creative!

And here’s a great site explaining how to add them to the Epsom and create your own bath salts! http://bonnieplants.com/library/how-to-make-bath-salts-with-lavender-and-rosemary/

TREATMENTS

BODY SCRUB by Burts Bees $13.00

I’ve been using this amazing body scrub by Brooklyn Stephen (www.brooklynstephen.com) but it’s not available for sale online yet (you can always call and place and order over the phone).  For something a little easier to get hold of and just as scrummy – I’d recommend my go to: Burts Bee’s Sugar Scrub

Available online here http://www.burtsbees.com/Cranberry-Pomegranate-Sugar-Scrub

Hair Oil Treatment by Pura d’Or $24.99

I just love this stuff! Use this amazon best seller hair oil sparingly, you just need a pea sized amount in the palm of your hands. Run through the ends of tired hair and let it soak in whilst you relax in the tub. (TOP TIP: use this on your skin too it’s good for just about everything!!)

Available online here: https://www.purador.com/pure-and-organic-argan-oil

DIY Oatmeal Honey Face Mask. (FREE!)

Don’t buy one of the expensive boutique masks on the market you can make your own with things already in your pantry and wikipedia have made a great instructional video on how! Check it out below :)

So there you have it – a home spa for under $50, good for your mind, good for your skin, good for your hair, good for your spirit and GREAT for your wallet! So go on relax, restore and revive yourself right at home ladies and gents!

Enjoy!
