Thanksgiving is just that, thanks, gratitude, humbling oneself to all the good things we have in our lives. Giving is something we all should try and do a little more of. The honor system, thank God is not dead yet.
I had a very special thing happen to me this past week, I lost an envelope full of money and other things while visiting my parents in Palm Beach Gardens Florida. It was not a lot of money but all the same it dropped out of my day planner in front of a Taco Bell and a man with a shop in the same shopping center found it, he took most of the money and left $6 in the envelope along with everything else. I searched all over my car, home, trying to find it and to no avail I finally broke down to see if anyone at Taco Bell had found it and sure enough they did, there was $6 and all the information from the man who found it. Bubba is his name and he took the bulk amount of $ out and kept it to make sure I got all my money back.
The Taco Bell people were so sweet as well and said the man, Bubba, wanted me to be sure and call him as he purposely kept most of the $ so he knew I would get it. I donated the $6 in the envelope to US Troops and wanted to give Bubba a $50 reward, he refused so I pleaded with him to let me take him to lunch one day after Thanksgiving weekend was over.
I guess the moral of the story is to not only be kind, grateful and giving but honesty and loyalty to do the right thing is so important not just in our personal lives but in our country and our Universe.
So I am wishing you all a very happy gobble~gobble day, and give yourself a break, go for your favorite pie and enjoy your family as we all know nothing lasts forever and family should always come first,…. along with all the things I have shared with you this morning from Florida.
