Fashion designer L’Wren Scott and longtime girlfriend of Mick Jagger has been found dead of an apparent suicide, reports the AP, ABC News and the New York Daily News.
I don’t want to speculate so early on in the development of this case but with so many of our industries sons and daughters taking their own lives it makes me want to reach out to my friends, family, loved ones and all of you too – to say, I love you and you are not alone.
I didn’t know L’wren personally and I have no idea if she suffered from depression but I have certainly felt the pressures of the fashion industry first hand and know that at times you can feel under the weight of the entire world. The fashion industry can be a weird social-antisocial blur and it’s easy to get lost in it! I’m going to keep this short and sweet. Reach out to your friends and loved ones, tell them that you love them, remember to check in often and share the love.
